Amika ShailAmika Shail happens to be a popular name in playback singing besides she is also a model and actress. She has been the part and parcel of many singing reality shows for her talent and skills. In fact, she got her first break from it. She was born on 12th November 1992, while her schooling was completed at the well-known Children’s Own Home in Calcutta, West Bengal. She completed her graduation from Calcutta University. She learnt music and dance in her childhood only from legends like Kaushik Bhattacharyya and Nanda Da. In fact, she has completed her PG in classical music. She then shifted to Mumbai to pursue her dreams to become a playback singer.
She got success and first stardom with the reality show called the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa National Talent Hunt, in 2004. She won the title in addition to winning the same on Zee Bangla as well. She then won the title at the reality show called Star Voice of India award. She then excelled at the All India Radio show and then shifted to Mumbai to soon start performing a number of concerts all across the country. She also gave her voice to different brands like Dabur Amla Hair Oil, Dena Bank, Wheel detergent powder, Munch chocolate, Ujala, Sonam tea, Santoor golden glow, Royal Fan and SBI gold loan.
She has sung a number of Bollywood cover version songs doing her debut video album called “Meri Hasraton Mein” which was released in the year 2015 by Crescendo music. She has given her voice ofr a number of movies in Bollywood and can be called as the emerging singers of B Town. She has also tried her luck in acting with the film “Mein Roshni”. Amika is currently working in the TV show called “Naagin” in Colors TV. Talking about her personal life, she is single and not keen to mingle as she is focusing on her professional career.
